Another day in paradise. Warmth this morning was a welcomed amenity after the last two chilly awakenings. The great downhill from yesterday afternoon was repaid at first light. After the first climb it was several miles of rolling hills — and headwinds. On the last climb, in the mid-day sun, riders were refreshed by a passing water truck. The triumphant downhill into Waitsburg was a fitting end to a surprisingly challenging day. As always, at the finish it was all smiles (thank you chocolate milk).
