Training Programs

Don’t live near Portland? Just want to train on your own? STRADA has the perfect training options for you. Choose from a 16-week cycling plan that will guide you through daily mileage and cycling drills, or try a custom-built program that’s created just to fit you.

16-Week STRADA Cycling Program - $15

Need a little guidance? This training program will give you a plan to put the wheels in motion. STRADA offers three different 16-week training programs based on this year’s route.  The STRADA Cycling Program will outline your riding by day, including mileage and drills. Choose your program based on your cycling level and get to work!

STRADA Custom Fit Training Program - $99

This program is custom-built so that it truly fits your life – it looks at the whole person.  Be prepared to discuss your current fitness level, riding ability, training time available, lifestyle, injuries, concerns and goals. You’ll start by completing an extensive questionnaire followed by a personal consult (either in person or via phone) with one of STRADA’s coaches. Then they’ll create a custom-fit program just for you.

Training by the Book

This year STRADA is also offering a written training guide, “Preparing Your Body for Multi-Day Cycling Events.” You’ll benefit the most on your Cycle Oregon ride with a well-rounded training program designed to condition the whole body. The guide covers important aspects of a training plan: developing a training program, cycling form and drills, strength training, flexibility, goal-setting, nutrition and injury prevention. Written in an easy-to-understand format, this book will give you the tools to fully prepare your body for a strong, successful and enjoyable multi-day cycling event.
