Some riders like to share their Cycle Oregon experience with friends and family members who do not bicycle, and many of these groups like to bring recreational vehicles to stay in. In addition, some of our riders like to bring their own recreational vehicles to sleep in rather than a tent or dorm room. These riders must also register with the RV Parking program, so that we can keep track of the recreational vehicles we’ll need to accommodate.
Here are a few important considerations to note about the RV Parking program:
- This year’s RV Parking site will be based at the Reser Stadium parking lot on the Oregon State University campus. It’s not an RV park, and no hook-ups are provided. Riders or guests with vehicles that have generators will be located separately from those without. In addition, the RV Parking area will observe quiet hours (no generators) from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. each day.
- A registration fee of $40 is required for each vehicle. This fee must be received by June 14, 2013. To register yourself or your friend or family member, please click here.
- Guests can purchase meal tickets for breakfast ($10) and dinner ($15) at the Cycle Oregon Retail trailer at Oregon State University.
- Guests are not registered riders, and so should not be riding the route each day.
Those registered for RV Parking will receive a packet in early July that includes driving instructions, a vehicle permit and meal tickets (if purchased).
