Rider Guests
Register a Guest
Some riders like to share their Cycle Oregon experience with friends and family members who do not bicycle, and many of these groups like to bring recreational vehicles to stay in. For them we created the Rider Guest program so that they can be part of the Weekend without riding.
In addition, for the Weekend Ride some of our riders like to bring their own recreational vehicles to sleep in rather than a tent or dorm room. These riders must also register with the Rider Guest program, so that we can keep track of the recreational vehicles we’ll need to accommodate.
Here are a few important considerations to note about the Rider Guest program:
- This year’s Rider Guest site will be based in a parking lot on the Western Oregon campus. It’s not an RV park, and no hook-ups are provided. Rider Guests with vehicles that have generators will be located separately from those without. In addition, the Rider Guest area will observe quiet hours (no generators) from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. each day.
- A registration fee of $35 is required for each Rider Guest vehicle. This fee must be received by July 2, 2010. To register yourself or your friend or family member, please click here.
- Rider Guests can purchase meal tickets for breakfast ($10) and dinner ($15) prior to the ride on our Web site, or at the Cycle Oregon Retail trailer at Western Oregon.
- Rider Guests are not registered riders, and so should not be riding the route each day.
Registered Rider Guests will receive a packet in early July that includes driving instructions, a vehicle permit and meal tickets (if purchased).
